Mr. Jerry Smith, 62,also known to his family and friends as “Pops” died Monday, February 6, 2017.

Mr. Smith was a 25 year veteran of the Biloxi Fire Department where he retired as a captain. He also served as a department head at Sunplex for nine years.

He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother who will be sadly missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Jerry Smith, Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Burke; son, Jared Smith; mother, Dolores Smith; step daughter, Sabrina Sanders; brothers, Joe and Charles Smith, and a host of extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Biloxi City Cemetery, North Addition off Irish Hill Drive under the direction of Southern Mississippi Funeral Services.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be made to the American Heart Association, www.donatenow.heart.org
