Obituary for SPC John Davis McCasland

SPC John Davis McCasland
It is with great sadness that the family of SPC John Davis McCasland announces his passing on Sunday, April 1, 2018 in Ft. Bliss, TX, at the age of 22 years.

John was born in Corpus Christi, TX. He was raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He graduated from St. Martin High School in 2014. John started his career in the U.S. Army in August 2014. He completed BMT in Fort Benning, GA. He completed his first duty station in Ft. Campbell, KY. His last duty station was Ft. Bliss, TX.

John was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be remembered for his witty humor and big heart.

John is preceded in death by his great grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Billy and Debra McCasland; his wife, Angela Carole McCasland; daughter, Cambrie Reyenne McCasland; sisters Tabatha (Marquis) McCasland, Audre (Tylan) Weeks, and Krystan McCasland; his nieces Jaelynn Washington and Marley Weeks; his nephew, Marquis Junior; his grandparents, Carol and Bill Wauson and Joseph and Francis Edmond; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Southern Mississippi Funeral home on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018 at 11am. Services will follow at 12pm. Internment will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your local Humane Society and/or the Wounded Warrior Project.
