Wayne brings multiple years of experience in the funeral industry to Southern Mississippi Funeral Services. He oversees the day to day business operations and is readily available for any questions you may have. His background is very diverse and can communicate his skills and talents in the position he holds. He specializes in pre-needs as well as the needs of families.

Valerie oversees all of our behind the scenes operations as manager of our Care Center. She is our head embalmer and crematory operator but sometimes steps in to serve as a funeral director as well. Her main focus is the respectful and dignified care of all of the deceased loved ones entrusted to us.

LesLeigh is our Office Manager, but she is also our apprentice! She worked in physical therapy for 15 years, but she has also been in the periphery of funeral services since she was very young. She manages our office while also studying to become a funeral director in the near future.

Charlotte brings a variety of experiences to the position she holds. She is a retired real estate agent as well as an executive assistant in the law enforcement field. She has a master's degree in psychology and is willing to share her knowledge and experience with families that are in need to preplan their final wishes. She has stepped into the position of PrePlanning/PreNeed Counselor and Aftercare Specialist.

Mrs. Hilton is the matriarch of Southern Mississippi Funeral Services. She retired from a local school district. She brought her children up in this community and now is using her talents for the families and staff.
