Obituary for Kerry Wayne Kennedy

Kerry Wayne Kennedy passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. He was born in Newton on November 28, 1960, to Walter Wayne Kennedy and Charlotte Kay Munk Kennedy. Kerry is survived by his brother, Tracy (Linda) Kennedy of Helena; his sister, Tina Kennedy (Lane) Folkers of Ocean Springs and his daughter, Misty Kennedy (Nickolas) Osborne of Ocean Springs. Kerry graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1979, and was immediately employed by Ingalls Shipbuilding where he continued to work for 18 years. Thoughts of Kerry would not be complete without thinking of his passion for fishing, hunting, and rawhiding the roads in his Camaro. We will all cherish many memories of sharing a “cold one” by the fire or with sand between our toes, swapping hunting stories and lying about the size fish you caught. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 1pm at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation, www. foundationmwfp.comSouthern Mississippi Funeral Services is serving the Kennedy family.
