Alice Fay Lackey LaFrance was escorted into Heaven by her late husband David LaFrance on September 11, 2017. She was surrounded by her daughters Michele and Robin, their husbands John and Henry, and her granddaughters Whitley Lamey, Miranda Lamey, Brooke Lamey, and Kenadie Kostmayer.

Alice was born January 11, 1947, and was the eldest of eight children.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dolphus Lackey; her mother, Velma Callais Lackey and her brother, Bobby Lackey. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Lester LaFrance; her mother-in-law, Annie Mae LaFontaine LaFrance, and several family members and friends.

She is survived by her sisters, Betty Gonzales, Rosalie Marino, Sandra Gaston, and Judy Davis and her brothers, Dolphus Lackey Jr. and John Lackey. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Henry Black, Veronica Black, Jacob Black, and Gracen Kostmayer and her great-grandchildren, Karston Hall, Branson Holley, Lucas Jackson, Mayzie Holley, Ivy Nguyen, and Nora Hartley. She will also be missed by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 7pm at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue in Ocean Springs, where friends may visit from 3pm until service time.
