Obituary for Eraclio "Eric" Salinas

On Monday, May 10, 2021, at the age of 82, peacefully and surrounded by his family, Eraclio “Eric” Salinas was welcomed into the arms of the Lord.

Eric was born March 29, 1939, in Benavides, Texas, to Jesus and Filemona Salinas.

He served in the United States Air Force at Keesler, which relocated him to Biloxi, Mississippi, where he met his wife of 55 years, Judy Roberts Salinas.
Eric worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding for 39 years, retiring as a Senior Designer. He was happiest when he was outside gardening and spending time with his family.

Eric is survived by his wife Judy Roberts Salinas, daughters Laurie (Don) Eaton, Lynn (Tommy) Kuluz, son, Eric (Johnette) Salinas, granddaughters, Jenny (Brad) Boudreaux, Katelyn Eaton, Nicholette Salinas, grandsons, Tommy Kuluz and Owen Salinas, great-granddaughter Quinn Boudreaux, sisters Bertha Ortiz and Esther Eurioles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Filemona Salinas, brothers Jose Alberto, Amando, and Richard Salinas and his sister, Lupe S. Campos.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 17, 2021, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Latimer, MS, with mass starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.

Eric’s family would like to give special thanks to Crystal Riggins, Brandon Wilson, and Carla Zulick for taking such loving care of him over the last few months.
