Obituary for Charles Edward Walker Sr.

Mr. Charles Walker, 90, of Woolmarket, died Sunday, January 14, 2018 at his home.

He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a WWII veteran. He ran a paper route for 30 years in Lake Charles, LA for the American Press. He was a loving husband to his precious wife, Wilma. He loved watching boxing and football.

Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Wilma Walker; parents, Robert Day Walker Sr. and Clara Mae Nation; her son, Charles Edward Walker, Jr. ;his brother and sister, Robert Day Walker, Jr and Bobbie Lyons.

Survivors include his children, Charleen (Edward) Brawner, Karen Hebert Walker, Christine (Tom) Riggs, Catherine J. Walker, Curtis Ray Walker, Sr., Cheryl (David) Picard, Carolyn (Tony) Dommert, and Carla-Jodi (Laura) Grimes; brother, Walter Walker; 17 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren, with two on the way; one great-great grandchild and numerous nephews and nieces.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Coalville United Methodist Church Cemetery, 12298 Shorecrest Road in Biloxi.
