Ileen Lopez, 23, of D’Iberville, died Sunday, January 14, 2018.
Ileen was a bright and warm young lady with a smile that you could not forget. She was a server a Pepe’s Bosque Mexican Restaurant. Anybody who walked into Pepe’s and crossed paths with her would tell you how her personality and smile could completely change their mood. Ileen enjoyed spending time with all her friends and co-workers whom she loved. Ileen cherished time with her family, especially her sister and twin nieces. Ileen also loved to shop and doing her makeup. Her signature bold lipstick always made you look twice. Ileen’s passion though was her daughter Jaileen. Her daughter was the light of her life. Ileen’s love for Jaileen was unmeasurable. Ileen was a loving friend, daughter, aunt, sister but most importantly a mother. There are truly one of a kind people in this world and Ileen was one of them.
Ileen is survived by her parents, Ricardo Lopez and Irene Lopez; grandparents, Aurelia Villarreal and Dolorez Lopez; her brothers, Ricardo Lopez Jr and Xavier Cruz; her sister, Bianca Cruz; her beautiful nieces, Mia and Kelanie Cruz; and many more family members and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, located at 6631 Washington Ave in Ocean Springs. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM. The family wants anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ileen to attend. The family does ask if you plan to attend the service that you wear something bright to represent the light Ileen brought to this world.
