Elizabeth Ann O’Neal, age 67 years, of Gulfport, MS gained her wings on March 19, 2018. Affectionately known as “Punkie” to her family and friends, Ann was always the fun one bringing laughter, joy and smiles to all she came in contact with.

She survived by her husband Gregory, her mother-in-law Bernita O’Neal of Vancleave, her daughter Beth Cook (John), her son Michael Burks (Shannon), Sisters Kay Tobar of Ft Worth, TX, Melba Hale of Oceans Springs, MS, Jeanette Vaughn of Gulfport, MS, brothers William Hurt and Lloyd Hurt of Vernon, TX, brother-in-law, Rudy O’Neal of Hattiesburg, 4 grandsons Christopher (Hannah) and Kenneth (Christina) Stephenson, Tyler and Lane Dassie, and 2 granddaughters Destiny Decoronado and Alyssa Burks. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends that she considered family.

Ann was member of Long Beach First Baptist Church, MS.

The family would like to thank all caregivers, friends, family, and persons who gave us strength, provided comfort, gave nourishment, and supported the family with prayers during this time.

She would say to celebrate her life and remember laughs, love, hugs and precious time shared together. This is not a goodbye but a see you later.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 om - 2:30 pm on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services.

Celebration of life services will follow at 2:30 at the funeral home.
