Obituary for Ariana (Ari)

Ariana (Ari) Claire Farragut, our perfect, sweet, beautiful 5 year old princess mermaid and love of our lives went to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 12, 2018 after a 3 and a half year battle with ATRT (atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor) brain cancer. She passed away in the loving arms of her father and mother.

Ariana could light up a room with her smile. She had such a passion for life, and she fought to live up until the very moment she met Jesus. She taught us all so much in her five short years: bravery, kindness, selflessness, perseverance to name a few. Ari will be greatly missed.

Ariana is preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents Edwin and Mildred Brown and James and Marguertie Farragut.

Ariana leaves behind her loving parents, James Lee and Jenna (Rentrop) Farragut and her little brother Jameson & baby sister Evangeline; paternal grandparents James and Schewida (Brown) Farragut; maternal grandparents James and Aline (Bailey) Rentrop; maternal great grandparents Shirley and Clara Bailey and Harold and Jeanette Rentrop; her uncle James (Dawnn) Rentrop, and her aunt Selena (Thomas) Austin, as well as many great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

Please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or CURE ATRT Now in honor of Ariana.

Visitation will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville from 5-8 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018.

Ariana’s Celebration of Life and Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 am on Friday, May 18, 2018 with interment following in Crestlawn Memorial Park all under the direction of Southern Mississippi Funeral Services.

Ari requested that you come celebrate her life in your favorite purple, pink, or white attire.
