Brent Carrington 61, passed away on July 22 in Ocean Springs.

He is preceded in death by his father, E.T. Carrington and his sister Cheryl Whitaker. Survived by his wife Susan Carrington; daughters, Andrea Carrington and Charlene McCloskey (Michael); son, Alex Carrington; mother, Margie Kirkpatrick; sister Marla Hobbs (Roger); brothers, Danny Overstreet (Elise) and Robert Sharpe (Chana); and four granchildren, Kaleb, Zander, Gabriel Carrington and Kamen McCloskey.

Brent was a master shipbuilder at Huntington Ingalls where he worked for 40 plus years. He loved his work and his family but also enjoyed fishing in his spare time with his family or with the Backlash Fishing Team. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS 39564. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time.
