Obituary for Sharlott Ann Andrews (Ferguson)

Sharlott Ann Ferguson Andrews, 77, a resident of Biloxi since 1973, gained her angel wings and was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 2, 2018 with her loved ones by her side.

She was born July 21, 1941 in Attala County, MS to Riley and Ioma Williamson Ferguson.

Ms. Andrews was a member of the Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast, formerly the First Pentecostal Church of Biloxi, since 1974. She was the epitome of a Christian, always exemplifying what it means to be a true follower of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived her life loving, worshiping, and praising Him, and giving all the glory to Him. Anyone who met her would immediately know that she was a woman of Faith, a woman of God, and would know she loved the Lord with all of her heart.

Ms. Andrews was a dedicated mother, “MawMaw,” and “Aunt Ann” to her family, and she spent countless hours praying for them and others, as well as caring for the sick and elderly. As well as her abundant love for God, her church, and her family, she loved coffee, gardening, flowers, and fried shrimp. She will be sorely missed by her loved ones.

Ms. Andrews is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Dawn Woodham and Faye Whittington, her brother Riley Ferguson, and a special nephew, Jimmy McKenzie.

Survivors include her brother, Donald (Beth) Ferguson, three beloved children, Thomas (Rhadonna) Andrews, Mike (Sissy) Andrews, and Lisa (Chuck) Orr, two nephews for whom she cared and loved as her own children, David (Donna) Engle and Anthony Bruce Engle, a very special niece with whom she shared a unique bond, Peggy (Dewitt) Russell, and her former daughter-in-law, Sherry Andrews. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Tara Andrews (Andy), Austin Andrews (Savannah), Holli (Chris) Emile, Amanda Orr (Allen), and Ashtin (Victor) Mancaruso, eight great-grandchildren and many other nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast, 1907 Popps Ferry Rd., Biloxi, MS 39532. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and a memorial service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Macedonia Revival Center in Philadelphia, MS at a later date.
