Obituary for Laurie Emmons

Laurie Marie Vanderford, 56, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Kemmerer; brother, David Kemmerer; and step father Pat Ladnier,

Survivors include her mother, Mary Ladnier; brothers, Will and Greg Ladnier, and Eddie Kemmerer; two daughters Jessica Hightower (Larry), and Becca Vanderford; son, Josh Vanderford (Mica); and grandchildren; Bre Anderson, David Hanners, Robbie Hanners, Lexi Vanderford, Jordan Vanderford, and JR Vanderford.

Laurie was a lover of the beach, the sound of water, and people. She always cared for others and helped any person in need. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren and taking care of her family.

A private service for the family will be held at a later date.

Southern Mississippi Funeral Services is honored to serve the Vanderford family.
