Print
Ms. Marilyn DeBerry, 92, passed away on September 18, 2018 peacefully and comfortably in her home in Biloxi, MS.

Formerly of Clearwater, FL, she was born in Maine where she attended high school and graduated in 1944. Throughout Marilyn's life she enjoyed dancing, playing scrabble, playing poker at the local casinos, and dressing up to be the classy and elegant woman that she was. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Vague; father, Afton Bowman; sister, Glenice Welch and her beloved "sweetheart" and husband, James (Jim) DeBerry.

She leaves behind cherished memories with her loved ones and is survived by her sister, Elsie Betters; daughters, Elaine Varney of Clearwater, FL, Alana Cox of Lakeland, FL, Zandria (Tom) Chrzanowski of New Port Richey, FL, Jana (Dave) Moore of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Justin (Kala) Cox, Sammi Cox and Chris Lyon, Brenden Moore, Jacob Moore; great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jaxson, Callie, and Kaley. She is also survived by her "best friend" and "angel" Lori Ladnier, who cared for her and never left her side; special friends, Brenda "mama" Ladnier, and Robert (Bob) Hoefler, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

The family would like to thank SADD's home health nurses and staff for the exceptional care they provided over the years for Ms. Marilyn. Special thanks to Gloria, Monique, Stephanie, Sharon, Beau, Jennifer, Sarah, Ashley, and Pastor John for all the love, attention and compassion they showed.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you make a donation in Ms. Marilyn's honor to a charity of your choice.
