Obituary for Lawrence LeBlanc Sr.

Lawrence “Mike” LeBlanc Sr. 65, of d’Iberville passed February 13, 2019. Born on March 6, 1953 to Idest Sr. and Laurence Breaux LeBlanc of Caillavet St., Biloxi, MS.

A graduate of Biloxi High, class of 1971, Mike then went on to serve our country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. Upon receiving a medical discharge he returned home to Biloxi where he began a 37 year long career as a civil service employee at Keesler Air Force Base. After his retirement in 2009 he continued an additional 10 years working for different contractors.

His lifelong love for muscle cars led him to be a dedicated member of the Ms. Coast Mustang Club, as well as volunteering for Crusin’ the Coast for over a decade.

“Our Mike” is preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Riley and Roland LeBlanc, his sister Irma “Rita” LeBlanc Ludlow, and his beloved jack russel, “Jax”.

He is survived by his much loved wife, Donna Keegan LeBlanc. His big brother Idest “Jr.” (Peggy) LeBlanc of Vancleave; his son Michael (Kimberly) of Hurley. Three stepsons Jacent (Gaila) of Biloxi, Josh (Frankie) of Semmes, AL, and Jeremy (Andrea) Gregory of Biloxi.

Six grandchildren are proud to call him “Pawpaw”; Camryn, Adyson, Dalton, Faith, Jackson, and Brady.

Mike will truly be missed.

A visitation will be held at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services Saturday, February 16, 2019 from

10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Entombment to follow at D'Iberville Memorial Park following the 12:00 pm funeral service.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nursing staff at Ocean Springs Hospital, Hospice Of Light, especially Donna Barnes, for the exceptional care they provided for Mike and his family.
