I can't believe Don is gone. I knew him for two decades. We both worked at MGCCC and I saw him on a regular basis around campus. Don was never too busy to extend a cordial greeting and ... maybe even talk about some fishing results from a recent trip. Also, he did a lot of contracting work on my home over the years and was an absolute wizard with carpentry. After Hurricane Katrina, Don repaired the extensive damage to my home almost single handedly, including the outlying buildings. I see the results of his work every day. After someone's dock floated into my yard during Katrina, and since my back deck was destroyed, Don somehow wrestled that dock into position so it became my new back deck. I have no idea how Don managed to move that very heavy dock into position by himself. I recall another occasion when another storm was approaching I came home to see Don putting sandbags in front of my garage doors. This was a complete surprise to me, but then that's the kind of person he was - thinking of others first. He will be missed! Jim Dunn
