Obituary for Helen Pauline Defosse (Defosse)
Helen Pauline Defosse (82) passed away on May 1, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama.
She was a resident of Ocean Springs,Mississippi and a former resident of West Warwick, Rhode Island. She was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church, Ocean Springs, Elks Lodge 2501, and Friendship Club of Ocean Springs. She enjoyed many activities including cooking, sewing, knitting, and bingo.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lionel Defosse; her mother, Leonida Rivard; stepmother, Helen Defosse; brother, Robert Ketchum; sisters, Ruth Fontaine, Irene Hunt, Jacqueline Renardo; son, Perry Hopkins; and granddaughter, Jennifer Neumann Robbins.
She is survived by companion, James Hawkins; and daughters Kerry (Mark) Neumann, Jill (George) Wright, Wanda (Lawrence) Scott, Amy Ruger and Crystal Ruger. She has seven siblings still enjoying retirement! She is also blessed with six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her ashes will be interred in the Elks Memorial in Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the The Elks National Foundation.
