Garry joined the Air Force right out of high school and soon thereafter commissioned as an electronic warfare officer and later a mission planner for the SR-71. Together they had two daughters, Laurie and Karen, and after 22 years of service he retired back to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He went on to get his associate's degree and began a second career at Ingalls Shipbuilding as a marine electrical designer. Garry was a lifelong member of The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America and sang with the Pride of Mobile Barbershop Chorus for many years.

Garry spent his last three years in the care of the nurses and staff at Bay Cove Memory Care. They loved him and treated him like family. We never had any doubt that he was in the best of hands, and for this we will be eternally grateful.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bay Cove Memory Care Unit, 680 Bay Cove Drive, Biloxi MS 39532 in honor of Garry Percival.
