Obituary for Patricia Ann Courtney
Patricia Seymour-Courtney peacefully passed June 4th 2020 in Mississippi.
She was born in Biloxi, Ms on August 11, 1950.
Pat is the daughter of Janice/Jed Joseph Kropp and Robert Courtney. She is survived by 4 children, (Jerry Wayne Battise Jr, Kammie Doral Battise-Barnett, Brandis (Paul) Seymour-Springer and Wilford (Kendra) Stanley Seymour III; sixteen grandchildren, Amber, Jerry III, Myron and Justin (Battise), Gary Jr., Tristan and Noah (Barnett), Logan, Isaac, and Danielle (Massey), Haylen, Gracyn, Samuel, Miriam, Roselynn, & Abigail (Seymour); and also, five great-grandchildren; three brothers, JJ (Dewanda) Kropp, Christopher Courtney, and Robert Courtney; three sisters, Angela Flanagan, Vicky Courtney, and Nona Courtney; three sisters, from “anotha motha”, Alice Seymour, Sharon Gavin-Montiforte, and Lee Sims.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, sister, (Nancy Barton), brother, (Terry Courtney) and grandchild, (Anakin Massey).
Pat was a flame full of fire that all grew to understand and love deeply. She was the epitome of life, a gifted commentator. She would openly express her point of view, whatever that entailed. She loved talking to people and sharing her heart with others. She often expressed she loved her, “Back Bay Girls!” her dearest lifelong-friends.
She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 6th at 12pm at 3109 Bachman Rd.
