Lloyd Earl Helveston, Sr. of Biloxi, age 78, passed away on July 22, 2020.
He is the son of the late Victoria and Ernest Helveston. He is proceeded in death by his wife of 52 years, Sherry Helveston and five siblings, Merrill Krumbeck, Willard Helveston, Yvonne Burke, Ernestine Smith and Virgil Helveston.
Lloyd is survived by six children, Lloyd Helveston, Jr. (Deanna), Junnie Helveston (Sandi), Vicky Taranto (Joey), Melinda Hunter, Sharonda Ledet (Jerry), and Sharae Fowler (Vince); fourteen grandchildren, Lloyd Helveston, III, Victoria Hattula, Taryn Ackman, Junnie Helveston, Jr., Jordan Helveston, Joseph Taranto II, Christy Taranto, Rachael Taranto, Alexandria Frazier, Olivia Hunter, Jared Ledet, Brett Ledet, Elliott Hunter and Vince Fowler, Jr.; as well as, eight great-grandchildren.
Lloyd loved fishing, chickens, watching football, throwing the mullet net, and his favorite past-time, dancing. He was a little league baseball coach, served in the Army, an avid painter, and retired from Cable One.
He will always be remembered for his ability to say his ABC's backwards in 6 seconds. But above all, he loved his family more than anything else!
