Obituary for Candace Ann Waits (McKinney)
Candace Ann Waits, 52, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 24th, 2020.
Candy was a wonderful woman who was loved dearly and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Waits; children, Jessica (Bobbie) Peel, and Jordan Waits; siblings, Paul (Renee) McKinney, Nina (Mark) Fast, and Faith (Keith) McNutt; Wayne’s children; Lionel (Gail) Phelps, Keith (Toby) Waits, Shandra (Hoss) Holliman; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Candy lived her life dedicated to her family and friends. She lovingly cared for the little ones. At family gatherings she loved so much, we enjoyed her special dishes – gumbo, ham, potato salad and pies. From their garden, she and Wayne filled many pantries with their canned fruits and vegetables. All prepared with love.
She will be missed by all who knew her. Though we will miss her beautiful smile and wonderful cooking, the special memories we shared with her will be in our hearts forever.
The family is honoring her request for no formal service, but a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
