Mike L. Everhart, 62, of Vancleave, MS passed Friday, April 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was raised in Belton, Missouri and followed his parents to Ocean Springs, MS in 1979 where he met the love of his life Anita. They were married in 1982 and had one child, Shane. They spent most of their lives on their "farm" in Vancleave where Mike's love of plants, gardening, and woodworking flourished. To say that Mike had a green thumb would be an understatement; which if you ever visited their home was quite evident.
Mike also loved fishing and throwing his cast net which was pure artistry to watch. Mike jumped at every possible chance to go and the freezer was always full.
With all of his hobbies he loved, they were not the biggest or most important part of his life, that would be his family. He and Anita were inseparable and he was always there for Shane. When Shane married Jodi he had an instant daughter; he never referred to her as an "in-law". In 2018 when his grandson Major was born, his heart just grew that much more.
Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend who lived life to the fullest everyday and everyone who knew him considered themselves blessed.
He is survived by his wife Anita, son Shane and family all of Vancleave; mother Billie Everhart of Belton, Missouri; two sisters, one brother, many nieces and nephews and more friends than you can count.
