Obituary for Phillip Wayne Beining

Phillip W. Beining, 73, of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away on February 5, 2021. Mr. Beining was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Paul and Muriel Beining which are both now deceased. He graduated from Euclid High School in 1965 and then went into the United States Air Force where he served his country from 1966-1974. While in the military he became SSgt. and served as an Administrative Clerk, Chapel Management and the organist.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Paul W. Beining., as well as Phillip's son, Joseph William Beining.

Mr. Beining is survived by his wife of 53 years, Antoinette Rose Beining; daughter, Kimberly Beining Harper and her husband, Terry Harper. His grandchildren; Brieana C. Harper Farrior and husband, Devin Farrior, Joshua Joseph Beining Harper. His great grandson, Easton Michael Farrior. Mr. Beining is survived also by his sister of Mentor, Ohio, Pamela J. Hadyk. Mr. Beining has several nieces and nephews that he leaves behind. His family and music were what he lived for.
Phil was blessed with the gift of music. Being a self taught musician, he involved himself with the Catholic Church at the young age of 8 years old. His love for music carried him into a career that has established so many memories for those he played for. His talent and love for music started his career at an early age, then onto Mississippi Music Inc as a salesman, while playing at Sacred Heart Church. Soon after, Mr Beining was led to Nativity BVM Cathedral in Biloxi as an Administrator and Minister of Music. Phil chorographed celebrations for many baptisms, communions, confirmations, ordinations of priests and four Bishops. He loved any and all activities that involved children as well as adults. He often would go to Nativity BVM Elementary School where he encouraged the children and trained them to use their voices to sing. He orchestrated both children and adult choirs at the Cathedral and worked with countless families to help plan then play for weddings and funerals. He was highly instrumental in forming Litergical practice as well as aided with the R.C.I.A. Mr. Beining answered the front door at the rectory to help many people in need such as the homeless and others that required his guidance. He retired after 35 dedicated years. Mr. Beining was a true individual who gave so much of himself to help others. During his lifetime, he instructed music lessons and loved spending time with his family.

The family of Phillip Beining wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Lakeview Nursing Center and Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 20 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Biloxi, MS
Burial will be at Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date.
