Obituary for Idest Joseph LeBlanc Jr.

Idest Joseph LeBlanc, Jr., 92, passed away Friday, April 9. Mr. LeBlanc was born November 16, 1928 and was a native of Biloxi. He was a resident of the Latimer community. He was preceded in death by his parents; Idest Joseph LeBlanc, Sr. and Laurence Breaux LeBlanc; four siblings, Riley LeBlanc, Rita (Herbie) Ludlow, Ronald Le Blanc and Michael (Donna) LeBlanc.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Peggy Pounds LeBlanc; two daughters and their spouses, Deborah (Douglas) Tootle and Rhonda (Robbie) Robertson; four granddaughters and their spouses, Stefanie (Danny) Holland, Merry (Pablo) Gutierrez, Robin (Chris) Balius, and Renee' (Greg) Robertson. His great grandchildren; Jaime and Danny Holland IV, Antonio, Maria, Mateo, Kike, Ariana and Mia Gutierrez, Jay and Tommy Balius, Kellie Watson, Joshua Robertson, Austin Forehand, Camri and Cooper Lyle as well as 6 great great grandchildren.

Mr. LeBlanc attended Catholic and Biloxi Public Schools. He entered into the service of the US Navy in 1948 and served for two years. He was a plumber for 20 years and was a lifetime member of the Fleur de Lis. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His absence will be felt by many.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 12 from 10 am until 12 at the chapel of Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS, with the service to follow at Noon. Interment will take place at Crestlawn Memorial Park, 4111 Bienville Blvd, Ocean Springs.
