Obituary for Eddie Dean Richey Sr.
Eddie Richey, 70, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021. Mr. Richey was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on July 7, 1950 to his now deceased parents, Charles Edward and Rosie Mae (Woods) Richey. He is also preceded in death by his brother Albert Richey and sisters, Antebelle Barber, Judy St. Amant, and Viola Foster. Mr. Richey spent a lifetime on the water as a Captain of a Tug Boat. The Gulf was a huge part of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah D. Ellison Richey, his children and their spouses; Eddie E. (Monti Holloway) Richey, Jr., Edna Lynn (George Gary) Mason, Edward E. Richey, Sr., Charles A. Richey, and Robert Joseph (Samantha) Richey. His grand children; Mary (Eddie) Davis, Eddie D. (Amber King) Richey III, Davy Richey, William (Ross S. Spiers, Jr.), George G. Mason, Jr., Shelley R. (Bruce) Schaeffer II, Angelic R. (Cari Jane Rice) Mason, Laura (Dean ) Reece, Edward E. Richey, Jr., Destiny Richey, Tiffany Sinclair, Itsy Man, Patrick Richey and Riley Richey. He is also survived by his thirteen great granchildren.
His services will be at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services on Thursday, April 22, with a public visitation from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. in the Chapel. Rev. Dale Greenwelll will officiate the service.
