Obituary for Dennis Eugene Moran Sr.
Dennis “Danny” Eugene Moran, 77, of D’Iberville (Saucier), Mississippi passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021.
Danny was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woolmarket. Danny will be remembered as a loving husband, father and “paw paw” with a bold spirit. He enjoyed life turkey hunting, running his rabbit dogs, and spending time on the Back Bay. Crabbing, shrimping and fishing were among his favorite hobbies. Danny was also known for a serious card game. When he wasn’t hunting or fishing, he loved spending time with his friends and family.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Olga B. Moran and George M. Moran; and siblings, Barbara Jean Moran, Matt Moran, Patricia Cannette, Janet O’Friel, Brenda Nelson, Kay Joachim, and Judy Martino.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda J. Moran; his four children, Michelle Green, Dennis “Danny” Moran Jr., Brandon (Jessica) Fons, and Melissa (Ryan) Morgan; his nine grandchildren, Savannah, Justin, Alyssa, Reagan, Chloe, Blake, Brody, Bryce and Brylee; two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Raelynn; and brother Donald Moran.
Visitation and Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woolmarket. Friends may visit beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Mass service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow.
Bible Verse Isaiah 40:31 - “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Southern MS Funeral Services will be in charge of the arrangement on behalf of Mr. Moran's family.
