Obituary for Neva Christine Sherrell (Sherrell)
Neva Sherrell, 30 of St. Martin died Thursday evening July 1, 2021, after a two year battle with cancer.
Neva graduated from St. Martin High School with honors in 2008. She attended MGCCC where she was on the President's List. She majored in social work and was pursuing her dream of becoming an addiction counselor.
Neva loved reading, arts and crafts, crochet, caring for her plants and most of all being a mother to her son, James.
Neva was preceded in death by her father Virgil L. Sherrell, Jr., and sister Erin Gosey,
She is survived by her son; James Travis Owens, Jr., mother; Barbara Martin, stepfather; Ricky Treloar, sisters: Margaret Sherrell, Kiersten Treloar, and Lela Martin, brothers: Justin Sherrell and Anthony Sherrell, her grandparents and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give "Special Thanks" to Dr. Allison Wall, MD; Dr. Craig Dawkins, MD; Brittany Hicks, NP; Kim Necaise, RN; and Shannon Rich, RN; Deaconess Hospice; Pamela Todd, RN; Nanda Gardache, RN; and Sharon Lacy, CNA.
Services will be held at Southern MS Funeral Services Chapel on Friday, July 9, 2021. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Service will begin at 3:00 P.M.
