Obituary for Ellen Charlene Massa (Tanner Carroll)
Ellen was born to David and Cora Tanner on November 5, 1949 in Vancleave, MS. She lived in various states and even enjoyed her time in Italy. She enjoyed cooking for family and visiting with friends. Her family was the most important part of her life.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Diane Deas.
Ellen is survived by her son; Tracy Gillespie (Denise), her daughter; Jeanene Martin (Eric), her sisters; Rosemary Collins (Greg), Kathleen Tanner, Theresa Payne (Randy), her brothers; Fred Tanner (Mary), Ted Tanner, Michael Tanner, and brother in law; Tim Deas, her grandchildren; Bonnie Kidd (Kendell), Nikki May (Stephen), Kyle Gillespie (Becky), Donavan Henry (Kelsey), Larry Gillespie (Kayla), Brandon Calhoun, and her five great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ellen will be sadly and terribly missed by so many.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services Chapel, 6631 Washington Ave, Ocean Springs, MS. Services for Ellen will begin immediately following the visitation at 12:00 P.M. at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Vancleave, MS.
