Mary Stabler was a long time resident of Biloxi, Mississippi and Jackson County. She was 86 on her birthday, April 8, 2022. She was born April 8, 1936 in Morse, Louisiana.
She will be remembered for her kindness and love for her family and friends. She stayed busy with 7 kids. She also worked at Keesler as a computer programmer.
She is preceded in death by husband, Tech Sargent Howard Stabler; her parents, Tovil and Effie Simon; two brothers, David and Roy Simon; two sons, Anthony Stabler Sr. and Gerald Stabler; and grandson Anthony Stabler Jr. (Tony).
She is survived by 5 of her 7 children; Gail and Nathan Sasser of Biloxi, Howard Stabler Jr. of Biloxi, Tina Russell of Saucier, Allen Stabler of Biloxi, and Jennifer and John Stackhouse of Alaska; her sisters, Bertha Cormier of Raine, LA and Dorothy Trahan of Raine, LA;12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; along with numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Ave., Ocean Springs, MS. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10466 LeMoyne Blvd., D'Iberville, MS. Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 12:30 P.M. in Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave., Biloxi, MS.
