Obituary for Gerald Gorden Herring
Gerald G. Herring, 50, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022, after his battle with cancer. He was born January 9th, 1972, on the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. He has been a resident of Ocean Springs, MS for most of his life.
He was an avid nature enthusiast. He deeply cared for the well-being of animals and loved to garden and walk in nature.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence "C.S." Shueman Herring and Faith Doreen Parsons.
He is survived by his only sister Belinda Slade and her husband Jim, his niece Brandi Sablich and her husband Chad, his nephew Bryan Trosclair, his great-nephew Aidan and his great-niece Trynity "Tia," extended family in Newfoundland, Canada, Mississippi, and Texas, and many dear friends that were with him through thick and thin throughout the Latimer community. A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date at the Goodwater Baptist Cemetery in Magee, MS. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to your local wildlife rescue.
