Obituary for Kimberly Anne White (White)

It is with deep sadness and loss that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Kimberly Anne White, 57, of Vancleave, MS on Sunday, July 3, 2022 surrounded by her family. Kim was born in Jackson, MS on April 29, 1965. She graduated from Brandon High School, class of 1983. In 1995, she graduated from Shelton State Community College with a degree in nursing. After many years as a registered nurse, she decided to make a career change and became a licensed CDL driver until 2014 when she quit work to stay home and take care of her mother until she passed in 2019. Kim spent the last years of her life active on social media and following politics while being a rock for her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hassil C. White of Brandon, MS and Johnnie Rae McHan (Shelton) of Vancleave, MS; her son, Nicholas McHan Turnage of Brandon, MS and niece, Alicia Thames Mccullough of Meridian, MS.

Kim is survived by her sons, John Christopher (Emily Davidson) Turnage and Matthew White Turnage, both of Vancleave, MS; grandsons, Thomas and Nicholas Turnage, and a granddaughter due in November, all of Vancleave, MS; Step-Mother, Joyce “Momma Joyce” White of Brandon, MS; brother, Christopher (Melissa Ely) Shelton of Vancleave, MS; sisters, Cathlene (Timmy) Thames of Brandon, MS, and Nicole (Mark) Bond of Vancleave, MS; nephew, Joshua (Candice) Shelton of Vancleave, MS; nieces, Amanda Thames (Joe) Boyd of Brandon, MS, and Madison Shelton (Rick) Dehaan, and Layla Bond both of Vancleave, MS; numerous aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends, as well as her treasured pets and companions, Trouble, Fluffy, and Sky.

The visitation will be from 12:00 - P.M. - 2:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life service following at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Southern Mississippi Funeral Services, 6631 Washington Ave., Ocean Springs, MS.
