Obituary for Preston David Dennis
Preston "David" Dennis was born on July 24, 1955 in New Orleans, LA to Preston W. Dennis and Mattie J. Johnson. He was raised in New Orleans and Pine Burr, MS. Life ultimately brought him to Biloxi in the 70's where he found his calling to God and his sweetheart, Karen.
David was a husband, father, grandfather, an anointed teacher, preacher, singer, and prayer warrior. He loved big and unconditionally. He was called home to walk in "Tall Cotton" on July 25, 2022.
David was an active member of Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast since 1978. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Karen E. Scarbrough; and his brothers, Lowell Dennis of Poplarville, MS and Pleasant "Edward" Dennis of Biloxi, MS.
He is survived by both of his sons, Preston (Natalie) Dennis of Biloxi and Patrick (Courtney) Dennis of Latimer; the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Morgan, Mattie, Will, Braxton, Elizabeth, Emaleigh, Kaileigh, and Austin; sisters, Linda (Clem) Vining of Bayou L'Ourse and Lula (Daniel) Wetwiski of New Orleans, LA; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts, and innumerable adopted children and grandchildren, all of whom he loved like his own.
A celebration of life ceremony will ne held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast in Biloxi, MS. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. Service will start at 1 P.M. A burial will follow at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
