Nina Olivia Russell Brossett, age 38, was born on January 13, 1984 in Ocean Springs, MS and went to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
She graduated from Vancleave High School. She was an assistant manager at Ward's. Nina loved fishing, swimming, and enjoying time with her family during large family celebrations and holidays. Her smile was so bright it covered her entire face.
Nina is preceded in death by her grandmother, Rhoda Whisenant; grandfather, James Whisenant; great-grandmother, Olga Kosloski; and grandmother, Delia Hough.
She is survived by her father, John Kenneth Russell (stepmother, Diane); mother, Ronda Powell; her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Whisenant; 4 children, Manuel "Manny" Guy Smith, Andrew Gage Russell, Jaxon Joseph Brossett, and Elsie Claire Dugas; and siblings, John Kenneth Russell Jr., Destin Oneal Russell, Darrick Alan Willis, Jared Addison Willis, Elizabeth Ann Willis, and Kennedy Diane Russell; uncles, Jeff Russell, Derek Whisenant (Susan); 4 aunts, Deborah Russell, Donna Avila (Tony), Christina Dossett (Perry), Lynn Chapuis (Brenda), Cindy Tillman (Ralph), and many nieces nephews, cousins and many friends.
Nina was first and foremost a loving mother to her children. Her life was dedicated to raising her children and being a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She will be missed dearly by her family.
