Obituary for Thelma Jane Moncrief (Alleman)

Thelma Jane “Tim” Moncrief, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, sadly passed away on Tuesday,
Jan 17, 2023, in Ocean Springs, MS.
Tim and Dwight, her husband of 37 years, resided in Vancleave, MS for the previous sixteen years. Tim was an accountant by trade, who retired from Montel Industries in Sulphur, LA. She was the heart and soul of her family and was known for her amazing cooking skills.
She loved entertaining, particularly family gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known as “MeMe,” Tim loved teasing and cutting up with the kids!

She and Dwight built their beautiful home in Vancleave with their own two hands. She was an avid collector of antiques, and her home was a showcase of her treasures. Tim’s kitchen was the hub of family fun and her Cajun cooking brought everyone together. She
even compiled a cookbook of family recipes to pass along to family and friends.

She is survived by her very best friend and loving husband, Dwight; children Paige (Chris) Ives, Christopher (Michele) Fontenot, Gwen (Nik) Rakoff, Cheryl (Wayne) Havard, and Cliff (Mandy) Moncrief. She had eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
her sister, Nell Truman and sister-in-law Dixie (Robert) Klepzig.

She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Audrey Alleman; three sisters and one brother.

Her life was celebrated with a private memorial by her family in her home in Vancleave.
