Samuel Worlin Van Horn Jr. of Gulfport, MS was called home on April 6th, 2023. He was a dedicated father to his daughters and loving grandfather to his grandchildren; Colton, Alessa, Arabella, Cailin, Elleanor and Cillian. Sam retired from the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority after 30 years to South Mississippi to spend his retirement on the beautiful Gulf Coast. Sam was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, and his daughters’ mother. He is survived by his daughters; Samantha and Danielle, son in law Brandon, his grandchildren and his life-long best friend, Chuck. Sam was expecting a new grandson in July who will bear his namesake. He will be forever missed and always loved.
The family will be hosting a private ceremony at a later date.
